Discover a fun-packed Friday night at Mikaku and Level X in Glasgow. Enjoy delicious Japanese street food and then unleash your competitive side with unlimited arcade games and VR experiences. A night to remember!

Who else loves the idea of kicking off the weekend with a Friday night out and having the rest of the weekend to just relax and recover? That’s my perfect plan every time. This particular Friday, I had an epic night out in Glasgow that I just have to share with you. We started at Mikaku for some Japanese street food vibes, then headed over to Level X for an arcade adventure. If you’re looking for something fun and different, you definitely want to try this combo!

Dinner at Mikaku: A Taste of Japan in Glasgow

So, Mikaku is one of those places that makes you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Japan, minus the long flight. The vibe is spot-on, and it’s the perfect spot to start off an evening.

The Food

We kicked things off with some crispy chicken Karaage and gyoza, which set the tone for the meal. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. For the main, we went with the Ebi Menchi Katsu, which is minced prawns wrapped in a crispy shell. It was so tasty but a little on the dry side. A side of sauce would’ve really taken it to the next level.

How Much We Spent
All in all, we each spent about £32, which honestly felt like a steal given the quality and the setting. If you’re craving something different in Glasgow, this is definitely worth checking out.

Nighttime at Level X: Arcade Games, VR, and All the Fun

So after dinner, it was still early, and I wasn’t quite ready to call it a night. We popped across the road to Level X, which is just the spot to continue the fun.

The Atmosphere:
The DJ was absolutely killing it. He was mixing R&B, dance pop, and even some Afrobeats (yes, Burna Boy’s “Last Last” was definitely played), which created the best energy for a Friday night.

Arcade Games and VR Fun:
We grabbed these limitless cards for just £10 each, and trust me, they were totally worth it. We raced each other, jumped into some VR games, and played all the arcade classics. Time honestly flew by because we were having so much fun. If you’re a fan of games or just looking for a place to let loose, Level X is the way to go.

Wrapping Up: Why You Should Definitely Visit Mikaku and Level X

Honestly, I couldn’t have asked for a better Friday night. Mikaku and Level X complement each other perfectly. Delicious food and then an arcade adventure? Yes, please. Whether you’re out with friends, on a date, or just looking for something different, these two places are a must-try in Glasgow.

Next Time:
I’m already planning to bring more of the crew next time for even more fun. If you’re in the area, you’ve got to check out Mikaku for the food and then head over to Level X for an arcade experience like no other.
